Kanan and Hera's apartment, Saturday morning.

Hera woke up...without Kanan's hair tickling the back of her neck, which was unusual. She rolled over, and her eyes went wide. She crawled the few feet over to Kanan and shook his shoulder. "Kanan. The island's at it again."

Hera grinned and rolled her eyes at him.

"Thank you, Stance." She patted his nose and gave it a kiss before climbing up as gently as she could.

Kanan smiled and shrugged before following Hera on up.

"I can honestly say," Kanan mused, "this is not a position I had ever figured I'd be looking out at the world from. Whenever you're ready? You might want to find something to hang on to."

Hera nodded and grabbed hold of handfuls of hair, sitting and bracing herself.

"And away," Kanan gave Stance a pat on the head as he settled himself in, too, "we go."

Stance was on his feet and bounding off the bed pretty much immediately, at that, as carefully as he possibly could, all things considered. Was he making his way directly to the kitchen? Absolutely he was.

Hera caught her breath as they left the bed, but she kept her grip and it was kind of like riding on a huge bantha. Not that she'd ever done that, but people did, right?

The speed was fun; the up and down took a bit more getting used to.
